Ira's BIo

I was born and raised in Southern California, graduated from Sonoma State University with an art degree and received a graphic arts certificate from UCLA. From childhood pets, to raising 4 service dogs and 25 years of competitive horseback riding, I have always maintained deep animal connections and passions. My most inspirational work was in the field of therapeutic riding and teaching people with special needs.

I relocated to Mesa, Arizona in 2017 to pursue an occupational therapy master's degree. Through a series of life altering events during Covid 2020, I reconnected spiritually with painting nature and the animals around me.
